D.J. Peterson promoted to Tacoma
JACKSON, Tenn — The Jackson Generals would lose their starting first baseman to their Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma.
Peterson who played a majority of the 2015 season with the Generals, has been on a tear in the month of June. Before being moved up, Peterson was batting .326 with six home runs in 24 games.
In return the Generals would receive outfielder Chantz Mack from Single-A. This will be his second stint with the team, coming back to Jackson for the first time since 2013.
In Bakersfield, Mack hit .301 in 71 games with eight home runs and 58 RBI’s.
