Sharp runs away with MVP for week one

MEDINA, Tenn — For week one’s MVP, South Gibson’s CJ Sharp ran away with the honors after his 102 yard performance with two touchdowns on 21 carries. He put in work on both sides of the ball, racking up eight tackles and one tackle for loss.

Sharp, like most good athletes gives the credit to someone other than himself.

“I really think I had a good night because, first of all my coaches are really good, their great,” said Sharp. “My lineman, their really good, I love my lineman and we just came out and played.”

Sharp and the Hornets will get another chance to perform under the lights when they take on Obion County this weekend.
