Amanda joined the WBBJ-TV news team in October 2016 as a multimedia journalist. She grew up in Bowie, Maryland, but, recognizing her passion for television journalism, attended Pace University in the Communications Capital of the World, New York City. There she majored in communication studies and minored in English and journalism.
While living in the Big Apple, Amanda was an investigative unit intern at WABC-TV, a reporter assistant at News 12 Long Island and a general assignment reporter and photographer at LI News Tonight.
Her television career then swept Amanda across the country to the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, where she was a photojournalist at KSNV-TV. There she had the opportunity to cover a variety of stories such as Nascar races, the Team USA basketball tryouts, and behind the scenes of the Bellagio Fountains.
Amanda missed the change of seasons and is excited to be back east in the beautiful landscape of West Tennessee.
When she isn’t chasing a story, Amanda loves to ride her motorcycle, play sports, be anywhere by water, and always stay laughing.
