Thursday, we obtained the warrant for Larue on the charge of second degree murder.
The warrant states that officers were dispatched to the location around 10:47 p.m., and upon arrival, they discovered Farrior sitting in a chair outside, bleeding from a stab wound to the left side of his chest.
According to the warrant and statements shared by police, officers began performing life-saving measures until EMS arrived. Farrior was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead just after midnight.
The warrant indicates that Larue was present when officers arrived and was detained at the scene.
The warrant shows that two witnesses gave statements to authorities, both stating that they observed Farrior and Larue arguing, saw the suspect hit Farrior, and that Farrior was attempting to de-escalate the situation.
According to the warrant, the witnesses stated that both the victim and suspect went inside the building, but Farrior emerged moments later advising to “call the police” because he had been stabbed.
The warrant shows that police recovered the knife from the scene, which was reportedly thrown over a balcony while the police were being called.
At the time of this report, Larue remains in custody at the Madison County jail, where she is being held on a $500,000 bond, according to court staff.
Her next court appearance is set for September 3 at 9:30 a.m. in Jackson City Court.
