Healthcare workers in Jackson will soon
be able to receive the H1N1 vaccine at
the Jackson-Madison County Regional
Health Department.
According to department leaders, they
have only been vaccinating emergency
service personnel and their own staff
due to limited supplies, but now are
expanding to include all healthcare
workers in Jackson..
Just present your
facility identification this Wednesday
between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Thursday
between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the
Health Department to receive your free
vaccination. You are asked to use the vital
records entrance.
The department is mostly offering the nasal vaccine, but a very small supply of the shot form is being offered for those who cannot have the nasal form, like pregnant women.
More vaccine supplies are expected in the
next few weeks and the department will
announce future vaccination clinics. For
