New Chief
Chosen in Brownsville

According to Mayor
Webb Banks, Investigator Chris Lea, who
currently works for the Tennessee Highway Patrol was
named the new police chief. Banks said the
Brownsville City Council voted unanimously, Monday
for Lea's appointment. He will officially take over
on November 16, the same day current Chief Gil
Kendrick will leave the post to become police chief
here in Jackson.
A new permanent
police chief has been named in Brownsville.

Mayor Jerry Gist
announced Friday Kendrick had been chosen for the
