Bond has been set for the two
Jackson men accused of dousing their roommate with alcohol
and then setting him on fire.
Sam Stevenson, 44 and Brian
Brawner, 28 are each charged with attempted murder and
especially aggravated kidnapping. Both men are being held in
lieu of $400,000 bond.
The 52-year-old victim, who
suffered severe burns over most of his body told
investigators his roommates attacked him Monday night in the
Alexander Street home. He said they held him captive after
burning him, until he was able to escape and call for help
the following morning. He is currently in

at a Memphis hospital. A motive in the attack has not been
released as authorities search for a third person believed
to be involved.

Stevenson and Brawner will
return for their preliminary hearing November 12.
