According to investigators, Jessie Louis Haynes, 65, of Humboldt, is charged with criminally negligent homicide and possession of schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute.

A police investigation showed Michael Lynn Armstrong died August 1 from the effects of overdose and combined drugs.

Police believe some of the drugs were obtained from Haynes.

Haynes was released from the Gibson County Correctional Complex on $10,000 dollars bond. He was arraigned in Humboldt General Sessions Court, Wednesday morning.
