A Jackson man made a court
appearance, Wednesday accused of kidnapping, last week.
Tavaris Massey, 22 was charged
with aggravated kidnapping his child's mother on Halloween.
The woman told authorities Massey forced her into his
vehicle that morning and took the park in the area of
Lincoln Courts and assaulted her several times and
threatened to shoot her if she tried to get out of the
car. She was treated for her injuries at a Jackson hospital
as officers said she had severe swelling around her face and
neck.
Massey is being held in lieu of
$30,000 bond and will return to court, next week.
