The preliminary hearing for Bernard Stevenson, 19, of Jackson is delayed because state witnesses could not appear on Thursday. 

Stevenson is accused of shooting at a couple as they sat on the front porch of their Cartmell Street home on July 15th.  He is charged with two counts of attempted murder and reckless endangerment. 

Police say one of the home owners suffered minor injuries during the shooting and four children inside the home were put in changer because several shot went into the house. 

Stevenson remains in jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.
