news anchor for TV-40 at Freed-Hardeman
University. While there, I was awarded
"News Anchor of the Year" and participated
in the National Broadcasting Society.

After graduating with a B.A. in Communications, I
began my work with WBBJ-TV. I worked behind the
scenes as a floor director and tapes operator for
two months before stepping in front of the camera as
a General Assignment Reporter.
After a year of reporting, I have been given the
opportunity to wake up West Tennessee every morning
as co-anchor of Good Morning West Tennessee. Every
weekday morning from 5:30 until 7:00, I have the
chance to fill you in on the latest in news and
entertainment.

On
my second day as a reporter, I was asked to
meet with Bill Haney's friends and family after he had passed away. He was a
remarkable broadcaster in West Tennessee and hearing his story made me look at
my job from a completely different perspective. I will never forget that day.
