News Philosophy:
My job is to tell stories as accurately and fairly as possible. I hope to give people who do not have a voice, the opportunity to be heard.

Education:

I graduated from Boston University in May 2009 where I earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcast News and a minor in Political Science.

Place of Birth:
I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Yes, I am a Gamecock fan!

Hobbies/Interests:
When I'm not out covering breaking news, I enjoy watching cheesy reality television, shopping, eating lots of ketchup, and hitting the gym. I'm an avid runner and currently training for a marathon.

Family:
My mom lives in South Carolina and works at a high school. I have one little sister who goes to school in Washington, D.C.

Favorite Books and Movies:
I love anything with a good sappy love story or movies that make you laugh. I'm scared of the dark, so horror films are out of the question. My favorite author is James Patterson. I'm also obsessed with the Twilight books.

Likes Best about TN:
After living in Boston for the past four years, TN charm serves as a breathe of fresh air. People here are extremely friendly and you can't beat southern cooking.

Most Interesting Assignment:

While working as an intern at WCBD-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, I had the opportunity to cover a fire at a Sofa Superstore that killed nine firefighters. It was the greatest single loss of firefighters in the United States since the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. I will never forget the people I met or the images I saw that night.
