Professional Experience:
Stephanie has worked in broadcasting for a number of years, serving as reporter, News Director, Program Director, and Director of Support and Development for WUTM FM 90.3 "The Hawk" during her college years.  She has also worked as Weekend News Director and reporter for WMUF/WHDM/WLZK in Paris, Tennessee and for WLJT-TV in Martin, Tennessee.  In addition, Stephanie interned for both WTVF, News Channel 5 in Nashville and WPSD News Channel 6 in Paducah, so it's timely that she should continue the number sequence and begin her television reporting career at ABC 7 Eyewitness News.  Stephanie also won "Best College Television Reporter" at the 2007 Southeastern Journalism Conference.

News Philosophy:
There is a beautiful and interesting--sometimes even funny-- story to everything and everyone in life; and it's my goal to tell those stories with as much accuracy and creativity as possible.

Education:
I graduated in May of 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a major in Communications/Broadcasting and minor in Psychology.

Place of Birth:
Born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee, I consider the Volunteer State
"God's country!"

Hobbies/Interests:
In my free time, I enjoy road trips, practical jokes, being outdoors, being a news junkie, going to church and spending time with friends.

Family:
I have one of the funniest families around--including a fraternal twin sister-- there's always a crazy story with them!

Favorite Books and Movies:
I love any book by C.S. Lewis or David Sedaris, and I enjoy movies from The Patriot to Uncle Buck, so it's quite a range!

Likes Best About TN:
I highly enjoy the wide variety of beautiful scenery in my home state, and I love the southern hospitality here.

Most Interesting Assignment:
My most interesting assignment would be a three-way-tie: I covered a story about a man named Bob Skelding who was traveling cross-country in a covered wagon he built himself pulled by four horses.  He was quite a character.  I also did several stories about Cpl. Keith Essary, a man from Dyersburg who was killed while serving his country in Afghanistan.  Those few days really touched my heart and I'll never forget that man's bravery and his story.  Lastly, I covered a story about a representative from East Tennessee who wanted to legalize the sale of horse meat, which was quirky.  Quirky stories are definitely my favorite.
