West Tenn Splits Double Header with Lookouts
The West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx won the first game of a double header at Chattanooga 3-2.
Brodie Downs started the came for the Jaxx. He threw for 3.2 innings in the seven inning game giving up only one run. He was relieved by new Diamond Jaxx pitcher Jason Kershner who went for 2.1 innings giving up only one run and getting the win (1-0). Austin Peay alum Shawn Kelley pitched the seventh earning the save, his sixth of the season.
The early game of the night featured a two run homer from first baseman Marshall Hubbard and an RBI double by right fielder Johan Limonta.
The Jaxx lost game two of the double bill 1-3.
The series continues Friday night at AT&T Field in Chattanooga. First pitch is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. CDT.
