In sports it's always
tough to transition from
one arena to the next,
especially when
expectations are
involved. When you throw
in the fact that you're
jumping from the preps
to the world of
collegiate athletics,
the challenge gets even
tougher.
One year removed from
winning a state
championship in girls
high school hoops with
the Gibson County Lady
Pioneers, Kevin McMillan
is now the leader of the
UT Martin Lady Skyhawks.
McMillan is taking over
a program that only won
two games last season.
Because of that he
understands the most
important thing is
changing the mentality
of not just the players,
but the fans as well.
McMillan states, "Rome
wasn't built in a day",
and he hopes everyone
has the "patience" to
understand he wants to
take UTM to an Ohio
Valley Conference crown.
