The prep signings just keep
coming.
After verbally committing to the Gators
of the University of Florida a
few weeks ago, North Side
Indians superstar Casey Prather,
made it official by signing the
papers at North Side, Monday
afternoon.
The 6 foot 5 inch, 190 pound swingman
ranks as the 64th best recruit
according to Rivals.com and is
number 25 in ESPN's top 100.
When asked why Florida ended up
as his final choice Prather
said, "I just felt it in my
heart."
Prather was not the only player
who signed to a powerhouse program,
Monday.
The
Delta State baseball team hope
it has found its "key" to
success, as Jackson Christian School star infielder
Martin Key signed on the dotted
line.
Key has been a big part of the
Eagles run, including their
state championship team from
2008.
As a sophomore he hit .490 and
was voted to the All-State team.
Last year, the stud third baseman
batted .390 with 10 homeruns. "I
never shorted myself," stated
Key when talking about what it
took to get to the collegiate
level.
Delta State University is one of
the best Division II baseball
programs in the country, winning
several college world series in
their existence.
